Book Searches
We do not have a computer inventory so you do need to come in and look around. This may be a digital world however about 99% of our business is done in person, crazy right?!?
We are happy to special order (with prepayment) any book you cannot find in our store. We have a network of used bookstores we order from and help each other fulfill orders or order new from our site and have books delivered to your door.
Prepayment can be made with cash, card or we can email an invoice, if you can’t get in right away. We do not take checks.
Store credit may not be applied to special orders.
Hours
Tuesday through Saturday, 10-6.
Any changes will be posted on social media as early as possible.
We are open some holidays throughout the year that fall on our regular days. We are always closed on 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years Day. We also close on Apple Blossom parade days. Hours are updated regularly on Google and we post closures on social media as well.
Starting in the last week in October we will be closed for VACATION!
We close early on the day before Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

Book Donations and Drop-off Schedule (Do not leave your books out front, they must be handled during business hours)
Donations and drop-offs will be taken during store hours, preferably Tue.-Thur., 12-4. We are not able to process large amounts (estate clean outs, yard sale leftovers, etc.), please limit to one small box or bag. Books must be clean and in good condition before we will consider taking them in the store, so please dust them off and check them over before bringing them into the shop, thanks.

Please, do not leave your books outside after hours.
Our book needs change with the seasons however books we can almost always take are: Children picture books, children’s to young adult books, classics, new age, history, and science, Stephen King & Harry Potter. Fiction hardbacks are limited in several categories, and most need to have the dust jacket and be no more than two years old (in most cases). Title and author do need to be visible on the spines of the books. Self Help, Parenting, Health, Financial, and most Christian non-fiction books need to be from the last two years.
We do not take encyclopedias, textbooks, computer books, travel guides, used crossword or coloring books, or old game guides. We do not take water damaged books, books with mildew, smelly books (stinky stuff, smoky, cat urine, etc), or books with damaged and/or missing covers.
We do not pick up books or purchase books. No exceptions.
Credit Policy
We give store credit for books in good condition that we can put out for immediate sale. We do not pick up books, trade books, or pay cash for books.
Book credits are subject to approximation when there is a large amount brought in or if the buyers are particularly busy. CURRENTLY NOT TAKING LARGE AMOUNTS OF BOOKS, LIMIT ONE SMALL BOX OR BAG PER CUSTOMER UNLESS OTHER ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE.
You may use your store credit for up to half (50%) off the purchase of used books in our inventory. For example If you’re buying a $10 book, you can use $5 of store credit. The other $5 must be paid with cash or card.
Store credit may not be combined with coupons or other offers.
The amount of credit issued will depend on a number of factors: format, condition, subject matter, presence or lack of a dust jacket, availability, and salability. Please bear in mind that excessive wear will always reduce the trade-in value of a book. That having been said, a book in “practically new” condition might have very little trade-in value due to the other above-mentioned factors.
Trade credit may not be “cashed out” at any time. Accounts will be closed after two (2) years of inactivity.
Coupons and discounts
Coupons and discounts may not be combined.
Return Policy
No returns on any items. All sales are final.
Consignment
We do some consignment sales for local authors and artists and crafters. Please bring in your items so we can see if they are a good fit for our store, if we have room at the time, and discuss the details of consignment. We love working with local authors and artisans who help promote shopping local!
We do not purchase your items wholesale. We do not promote Amazon in any way, nor do we allow marketing materials to be included in your items promoting Amazon.
