Dan Owens Book Signing.
Join us for a book signing with Dan Owens, author of Casual Labor. Dan Owens grew up in South Wenatchee, his 97 year old mother still resides in the same home. While visiting her for Mother’s Day he is also going to be promoting his new book.
“Once upon a time in a desert where apples grow, a young man comes of age with the help of inebriates, the inebriated, a hippie girl, a dilettante, and a flathead V8 Ford pickup. This as-it-was romp through the backwaters of Washington State’s famous apple country is both timely and timeless. Though much of the people and places described have succumbed to corporate agriculture and its practices, this American story of the journey from the limitations of the working rural life to the possibilities of the world beyond is as evergreen as the Evergreen State.”
Dan Owens, author, came in today for a cup of coffee and a visit. Dan is back in his hometown of Wenatchee to visit is 97 year old Mom on Mother’s Day. While in town he will be joining us for a book signing on Friday May 19th from 5 pm. to 8 p.m.
Hope you come join us for some fun and food and great stories. I have a feeling this man has many more stories to tell!
